If it's a rollerflint, then open the top to reveal the flint andnozzle.

You'll see the flint is held in a small brass holder, behind theflint wheel . At the back of that brass bit, there's another brassblock, with a rectangular brass slide on top which lets you releasethe spring that pushes the flint onto the flint wheel. Push thebrass slide back with your fingernail, or a screw driver, andswivel the flint holder out to the side.

Then push the flint holder back into place, and the springshould pop back, holding the flint holder in place.
