Alright, if it is clear by now, I'm working on my final essay and the topic is translation studies! So I'm sorry if all my updates are uni-related. My whole life is currently university, so I guess it's fitting.
Anyway, this handbook's author started saying 'yo, I think the majority of you has never heard of translation studies so I'll keep it simple for you!' but broke his promise (and my heart) two pages later.

كتاب في نظرية الترجمة إتجاهات معاصرة هو كتاب فريد من نوعه في هذا المجال باللغة العربية حيث يندر وجود معالجات نظرية بسيطة ومتبحرة في هذا الفرع، ينتقل الكتاب بسهولة ويسر وسلاسة ما بين نظريات مختلفة لدراسة الترجمة، ووفق الباحث في عرض مختلف وجهات النظر دون اختصار مخل بالنظرية
الترجمة العربية جاءت موفقة تمامًا في اختيار المصطلحات وهذا ليس بغريب على المنظمة العربية للترجمة ومترجميها الدؤوبين

Gentzler first obtained his BA in English at Kenyon College, Gambier, Ohio in 1973. After studying Germanistics at the Free University of Berlin, 1974–1977, Gentzler obtained his PhD in Comparative Literature in 1990 at the Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee.
