I followed these steps but got an error message when i tried to install a similar driver for my Yamaha motif XF keyboard. It said that my processor was not adequate but i know it is. It almost seems like yamaha hasn't put out a driver for windows 10 yet.

Hey,
I had the same error, I've fixed it by downloading the proper driver.
Click WINDOWS + E, and right click on My Computer. Go to properties and check your processor architecture.
If it says x64, you will need the 64 bit driver, if it says x86, you will need the 32 bit driver.
Hope this helps!

I'm having the same problem. I made sure it was the right processor version for my computer from Yamaha, rebooted everything, but still Windows 10 has no recognition of the keyboard connecting. It recognizes something has been connected, but nothing further happens.
It's typical of the computer industry to blame other software or hardware. Last stop, if the haven't grounded the person in the ground with red herrings so they just give up, then they look at their own software.
